Autoimmune Support - Tools for Managing & Relieving Symptoms
We each have an immune system. Without it, we would constantly get sick from bacteria or viruses.
The special cells, tissues and organs within this system work together to protect us.
It is our defence against infections and other harmful invaders.
Some people's immune system begins attacking from within. This gives rise to what's known as an autoimmune condition. Multiple Sclerosis ("MS") is one of approximately 80 autoimmune conditions. Others include Lupus, CFS/ME, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Irritable Bowel Disease, Colitis, Crohn's Disease, Psoriasis, and Eczema, whose cause is unknown. Those with the same type of autoimmune condition, like MS for example, will experience it in different ways. There can be some hugely challenging symptoms.
A set of tools that you can use.
We will focus much of our attention on helping those who live with these conditions. How will we help? Folks, there are tools and approaches we can all use. At HealthierSelf, we collect and further develop such tools so that people can better manage a health condition.
Many people have already worked out ways to get through the symptoms, to get through their day. We have learned from some people who have been able to do this.
Some of these tools will help you manage or relieve pain and other symptoms. There are also techniques that can help you manage the mental and emotional aspects of your condition.
Some of these approaches are so easily learned. Some require a bit more work. All of them can be adopted and adapted into your daily routines.
Where & When Does This Happen?
Each week, in this live online event, we will present at least one technique from the suite that we have been building.
We will be using Zoom for these sessions. Once you have registered then we shall send you a welcome e-mail with the event link included.
So far, we have scheduled 6 modules, each with 6 sessions. These cover pain relief, getting sleep and dealing with the thoughts and emotions that come with a diagnosis and the associated symptoms. Some of the techniques are based on our ability to visualise and imagine. Others connect to things we can do physically.
Each Wednesday, at 13.00, beginning 14th July 2021
and running weekly until 16th March 2022
How much does it cost?
We are asking for a donation of £15.00 for each 90 minute session. You can reserve your space by using this link.
If you live with a condition and cannot work you might find the cost too expensive. If so, please contact us and we shall set up a free coupon.
Our mission is to make these materials as widely available as possible. We are not funded in any way and we do of course have costs. Please be assured that your payments and contributions will help us create ever more content and therefore help ever more people.
