The Mental Pharmacy
There are only so many tablets a person can take. For those who live with chronic pain this is especially true. How can relief be found when this is the case?
I think it is truly worthwhile to develop better visualisation and distraction skills. This is already something that we can all do. This is such an important part of the understanding and knowledge piece which I refer to elsewhere. The more we can know about how we work, then the more we can explore and develop techniques that can help us each in our own way.
More art than science perhaps. This mental pharmacy idea could just be wishful thinking of course. Or as I say, a delicious distraction. In my own experience and in my work with others, it is most certainly useful however and well worth testing out.
